Creative Chaos

After a break of a few months I am back in Homes & Antiques! And this year I am starting out on a different course.

In the last three years I have taken my readers through a long journey not only through the ages, but all over Britain, to learn more about the varying and rather confusing field of British porcelain. While porcelain arrived late in Britain, around the year 1740, it developed remarkably fast and by about 1820 Britain was the world's leader in porcelain production, particularly once the Staffordshire factories fired up to full capacity.

But that's not the only thing that is special about British porcelain. There is an amazing freedom and ingenuity about the design and diversity of styles that is particular to British porcelain. Why is that, you ask? Why "Creative Chaos?" Well... you have to read the article as I am explainging what I discovered when I started looking into this question.

I won't say more... the article speaks for itself. I look forward to sharing my discoveries with you again this year!

You can read all about it in here, and below you find out how to subscribe to the magazine.
