The plates you see here were made by several factories but they have one thing in common: the "dropped shell" or "inverted shell" shape. There is an interesting story to this. Rockingham style - the real thing
You often see porcelain that is called "Rockingham style". This usually applies to a certain elaborately shaped Rococo Revival style tea service. New beginnings
I think we may never have been so conscious of new beginnings as this new year.
