Pristinely white Tea for Two - Wileman 1889
Sometimes it takes me a while to collect a set of matching items. I am proud to offer this little teapot from 1889 with two matching demitasse cups. It was made by Charles Wileman in 1889 in the famous and slightly bizarre “Alexandra” shape – but did you know these cups drink really well as they have been designed perfectly? It would originally have belonged to a cabaret set, which is a set of four cups and a teapot on a large tray, including a milk jug and sugar bowl. These items lost their siblings but they are gorgeous together. Pristine white, in fabulous condition and without any staining, this set is still good for use!
